Waiting to Launch | Fine Art Photograph by J. Durr Wise

Two women in bathing caps sit in a canoe at the grassy edge of a quiet lake. Across the water, trees and their reflections form a still backdrop, while overhanging leaves frame the scene. A summer outing seems poised to begin, though neither woman appears in a hurry.

An original photograph by J. Durr Wise, from the A Day at the Lake series.
