LEICA IIIa Modle G rangefinder and Leitz Summar 50mm f2 Lens (with that Leica glow)
Both were made in 1936. Excellent collectible/working condition. Note the brown leather - Really nice All shutter speeds work. Amazing for a 90 year old camera! The Leica IIIa (G), is a 35mm rangefinder camera introduced by Leica in 1935 as an upgraded Leica III, adding a 1/1000s shutter speed. This was not a simple matter and involved the adding of additional mechanisms. The shutter speed dial sits higher at 1/1000s and would continue to hereafter. The Leica IIIa was produced from 1935 (serial number 156,201) to 1948 (serial number 356,550) in Wetzlar, and from 1948 to 1950 in the Saar (356,701-357,200), with approx. 91,000 total units made. Ships for $25 to US address. Thanks
